Gateway literature collection, 1966-1995 (bulk 1969-1973).

This collection comprises fliers, brochures, and newsletters produced by various student and off-campus groups, and distributed near the University of California, Irvine's (UCI) Gateway Plaza. Library staff collected the materials between 1966 and 1995. Most of the organizations whose literature is featured in this collection were not UCI-based groups. Rather, the bulk of the literature was produced by larger local and national organizations. Some of the more prolific contributing groups include: United Farm Workers, Vietnam Veterans Against the War, Farmworkers Support Committee of Orange County, Californians for McGovern, and Campuses United Against Apartheid.
